The XX ISA World Congress of Sociology will be held next week in Melbourne (25 June – 1 July, Melbourne Convention Centre). The congress will be a big event attended in person and online by researchers from all over the world!
Several UQ|UP members will present their work:
- Sara Alidoust: ‘House-sitting and opportunities for an infrastructure of care in unequal cities’, presentation on 28 June
- Augustin Bauchot: ‘Derailing adaptation? A Pacific Islands perspective on urban climate change adaptation and subaltern politics, presentation on 28 June
- Hanne Worsoe and Sonia Roitman: ‘Solidarity networks and strategies during Covid-19 pandemic experienced by international university students in Brisbane’, presentation on 27 June
In addition, Sonia Roitman will chair two panels: ”Climate urbanism and the subaltern’, on 28 June and ‘Understanding the entanglements of urban disasters’, on 30 June
