New article on gated communities and income inequality in Indonesia by UQ|UP’s Sonia Roitman and Redento Recio. The article examines the relationship between increasing number of gated communities in Indonesian cities and increasing income inequality. It argues that there is a mutual reinforcing relationship between this type of housing and inequality. Jakarta and Yogyakarta are the case studies of the article.
