Sonia Roitman (UQ Planning) will participate next week in the Asia Pacific Cities Summit 2023, organised by Brisbane City Council (BCC). This is the flagship networking event by BCC to discuss urban management.
Sonia Roitman will discuss the importance of establishing partnerships between universities and local governments. She will present on behalf of the research team working on a project on the socio-economic and environmental impacts of flood infrastructure in Semarang, Indonesia. The project partners include UQ, Universitas Diponegoro, Brisbane City Council and Semarang local government. The project is funded by KONEKSI (DFAT) and the participation at the APCS has been funded by UQ Global Engagement.
