Dorina Pojani wins grant from Vietnam’s NAFOSTED for research on green transport

Greening the transport fleet – in other words, electrifying it – is a central issue in East Asian cities and farther afield. The uptake of electric vehicles for personal and public use is at the top of the public agenda. China is a leader in the e-vehicle market and Vietnam seeks to emulate its success. However, little is known about Vietnamese users’ attitudes and beliefs around e-vehicle technologies.

To fill this knowledge gap, Vietnam’s National Foundation for Science and Technology (NAFOSTED) has provided grant funding ($50,000) to a research team including a UQ|UP’s Dorina Pojani. The project (2023-2025) will be lead by Dorina’s longtime collaborator, Dr Minh Hieu Nguyen at the University of Transport and Communications in Hanoi.
