More than 260 participants celebrated the contribution of women to the planning profession this morning in Brisbane. The Women in Planning Breakfast is one of the most popular PIA events of the year.

Emma Thomas, the CEO of the Sunshine Coast Council, hosted the event and gave a very inspiring speech illustrating how she has broken gender bias in her career and advocated for gender equity.

The Outstanding Women in Planning 2022 Awards were handed in. Congratulations to Stephanie Wyeth, from the UQ Urban Planning team, who was one of the nominees.

UQ|UP students and staff attended the event. It was a great opportunity to hear from our graduates and learn about their current contributions to the profession.
