Last week the students in the course Community Participation in Planning (PLAN3005/7121) braved the rain and explored the proposed locations of the Green Bridges in West End-Toowong and West End-St Lucia.

Students explored the four sites for the proposed locations, and also visited the new site where Monarch Residences are currently being built (former ABC site in Toowong) by Consolidated Properties Group.

The field visit is very important for students who might not be familiar with these locations in preparation for one of the course assignments. Students are tasked to design a community engagement plan for these two bridges.

The group of undergraduate and postgraduate students was accompanied by Sonia Roitman (course coordinator) and Sarah Quinlan (course tutor).
