The Organisation of Planning Students (OOPS) at UQ is excited to launch its first newsletter. OOPS Connect highlights issues and projects that are important within the UQ|UP community and showcases the work of those within OOPS. The newsletter also provides updates on recent and upcoming OOPS events.
The first issue is available at the following link https://newsletter.uqoops.me
This issue includes contributions from UQ|UP students on their honour’s projects, field excursions, and opinions around key planning issues. UQ|UP staff have also provided updates on their current research.
The OOPS editorial team hopes to publish the Connect newsletter regularly, bringing the UQ|UP community articles from our present student body, our alumni, our sponsors, and our staff.
Contributions for the next issue, themed ‘Future of Planning’, are welcome. To submit a proposal, please contact the OOPS Executive Committee at l.omalley@uq.net.au.
The OOPS newsletter is so impressive. It represents strategic thinking on behalf of our planning students to stay connected with each other and industry during the lockdown. The content is pretty good too. Well done Lucy, Tom and the team.
I am thrilled at the initiative shown by our students, especially during such hard times.
Well done OOPS team, the newsletter is impressive and includes very good articles! Keep up the good job and stay connected.
