This November, UQ|UP’s Dorina Pojani participated in the recording of Podcast No. 6, titled “Governance and Design,” at the Albanian Pavilion of the Venice Biennale. The session formed part of the Pavilion’s public program and brought together a dynamic group of contributors working at the intersection of architecture, planning, and urban governance. The conversation was convened by curator Anneke Abhelakh (Switzerland), with coordination by Andi Arifaj and Adonel Myzyri (Albania), who crafted an engaging framework for the discussion. Dorina joined fellow panellists Francesca Boeri (Italy) and Simon Battisti (USA), contributing her planning expertise to a lively and wide-ranging exchange. It was a fantastic group and an energising conversation for all involved. The Albanian Pavilion offered an apt backdrop for these reflections, highlighting contemporary debates about controversial heritage, political agency, and the role of design in societal change.
