Speaking to the Australian Associated Press, she argued that without seamless rail connections, commuters could face multiple transfers — for example, travelling from Brisbane Airport to Gold Coast Airport — making public transport unattractive and inefficient. Dorina stressed that cancelling light rail is “absolutely the wrong decision,” particularly at a time when shifting Australians from cars to smooth, reliable public transit should be a priority as the city prepares to host the Games.
