UQ|UP’s Dorina Pojani is embarking on an exciting new Fellowship under the Diaspora4Innovation initiative, facilitated by GERMIN and EU4Innovation. This initiative aims to leverage the expertise of the Albanian academic diaspora to strengthen higher education and professional development in Albania.
As part of this Fellowship, Dorina will collaborate with Dr Irina Branko at the Polytechnic University of Tirana. Their joint effort will focus on enhancing the Landscape Planning course, introducing a range of learning components and hands-on experiences to bridge the gap between academia and practice.
This initiative is supported by the European Union and the governments of Germany and Sweden. An Albanian native, Dorina sees this as a meaningful opportunity to give back to her homeland while shaping a new generation of urban planners equipped to envision Albania’s future.
This Fellowship includes opportunities to contribute to teaching and learning scholarship, further advancing pedagogical research and innovation in urban planning education.
