The RC21 Conference has just finished in Santiago de Chile. This is the annual conference of the Research Committee of the Sociology of Urban and Regional Development (International Sociological Association).

This year’s conference discussed the dialogue between the Global North and South in urban studies. More than 400 participants attended the conference.

Sonia Roitman chaired a panel on the dialogue between the Global North and South in urban planning and presented preliminary findings on behalf of the research team working on the KONEKSI project on ‘Developing a GEDSI informed assessment framework on the impact of flood infrastructure in Semarang, Indonesia’.
