Forty UQ|UP students and staff joined the Organisation of Planning Students (OOPS) for a night of insight into the various roles women play in planning and its related industries. Across the built environment industry, women play a vital role in our planning system. This evening involved speakers discussing personal career journeys and development, as well as various issues women face and how our future and current planners can overcome them. This event was moderated by Sophie Perissinotto, a UQ|UP student. Short presentations by guest speakers were followed by a panel discussion and networking.

When: 18th March at 6:30-8.30 PM
Where: UQ Planning Studio – Steele Building (03), Room 314/315.
A great night that was enjoyed by many female and male students too!
Very glad to see so much interest on gender issues in planning among UQ|UP students!
