Public forum and symposium: Designing Healthy Liveable Cities

Creating healthy liveable cities is an international priority for health and the environment. RMIT’s NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence in Healthy, Liveable Communities is hosting healthy and active living events in Brisbane with international leaders in their field including Professor James (Jim) Sallis, Professor Billie Giles-Corti and Professor Gavin Turrell. Other speakers from the NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence in Healthy, Liveable Communities include: Dr Paula Hooper (Western Australia University), A/Professor Hannah Badland (RMIT), Dr Lucy Gunn (RMIT), Dr Jerome Rachele (Melbourne University), Professor Lennert Veerman (Griffith University), Dr Jonathan Arundel (RMIT University) and Dr Melanie Lowe (Australian Catholic University).

Designing Healthy Liveable Cities: Public forum with panel discussion

  • Date: Thursday 29th November 2018
  • Time: 5.45 pm to 7.15 pm, followed by networking refreshments and nibbles
  • Venue: Griffith South Bank QCA Lecture Theatre & Gallery, Building S05_2.04. Refreshments and nibbles at the Ship Inn Beer Garden, a short walk from the public forum venue.

Designing Healthy Liveable Cities:  Symposium with public health, planning, and transportation decision makers, researchers and practitioners from private, government and non-government organisations

  • Date: Friday 30th November 2018
  • Time: 8.45 am to 5.00 pm
  • Catering: Coffee, tea and cold water on arrival, morning and afternoon tea and lunch
